FAQ

v

A - Yes, please make me aware of any conditions or medications that will have an impact on your session, this is for your safety.  This is especially important if anything you are on impacts your blood pressure or you have mobility issues.

Q1 - Do I have to mention any health conditions or medications for awareness?

A - There is no specific dress code for a session, I would advise that you wear something you find comfortable and loose to and from the session.  During a session, please choose clothing that you are comfortable in, potentially being pictured in (if so requested) and that allows you to feel the rope against your skin.

Q2 - What Clothing should I wear for a session?

A - Yes, I welcome couples, throuples and groups - all are welcome.  To ensure the session is appropriately planned for the right number of people attending, please discuss with me during our initial consultation, so the session can be organised in a way that allows everyone to enjoy it.

Q3 - Can there be more than myself in a session? Can I bring a partner or a group?

A - The average sessions can last between 2 to 3 hours once you arrive, please do ensure that you plan enough time to enjoy the session without any need to rush, and to clean up, get dressed at the end.  While this is an average amount of time, sessions can be longer per request, or should the unexpected happen, again, depending on your needs during the day, for travel or other issues, please do plan carefully.

Q4 - How Long is a session on average?

A - During a session, I am very open to discussions of the feelings and kinks that are brought to mind, and I encourage you to explore your desires and needs in a safe environment.  This said, during an established and agreed session for what will happen, I would prefer that we stick to this to meet expectations, should anything more be desired, I am very willing to explore this in a follow on session where we can discuss what you are expecting to experience before hand and ensure that all the necessary requirements and accessories are available.

Q5 - Rope and more - the kinkier side

A - To ensure everyone’s dignity and privacy, the preferred solution is that all photos are taken by myself with my camera and video equipment.  This can ensure that everyone can have faces hidden or obscured, or any identifying marks covered or not recorded if required.  I have masks and can place equipment over tattoos (as an example).

I would strongly discourage the use of personal devices to take photos or video during a session, as when using these, the results could be suboptimal; however, during sessions with more than 1 person, I would happily encourage the other parties to take pictures with my equipment once set up.

At the end of a session, the unedited versions of pictures will be provided to you so you can have them edited yourself if required.

Q6 - Photos, can these be taken during a session, and how would that happen?

A - I am self-taught in Rope art, taking cues and inspiration from traditional Japanese Rope Bondage methods and techniques.  I focus, however, on a more freestyle approach that maximises the art of touch and sensuality.  As such, I don't focus on the rigid knots, ties and suspension methods of the traditional forms, I find these can limit the expression and feelings of touch within a session.

So you will not get a traditional shibari-type session from me, but you will experience a world of sensuality and euphoria that will leave you wanting more

Q7 - How did you learn Rope Art?

A - In everything I do safety of everyone involved is very important; this is why mentioning medical conditions and medications is important.  Regarding the issue of tying and knots, I have spent a long time learning the ties and knots that are safe to use, where to use them and how to tie them in a manner that should ensure safety and the ability for quick release if needed.  This also includes where to use specific types of restraints on the body to avoid creating any potential pinch points. The unexpected, however, can't be planned for and should 100% absolutely mentioned immediately if you have any loss of sensation or feelings of numbness or “pins and needles”.  I always have safety equipment on hand to speedily release you from any situation.

Please also practice good personal safety rules, ensure others know what you are doing, where you are going and your plans for travelling back safely.  I would encourage everyone to do so in all situations as a basic measure.
